Experience:

(1) as attorney-in-charge, lucrative settlement (representing plaintiffs) of multi-million dollar legal malpractice matter involving former Texas county judge on eve of trial in hometown venue; complex, tiered settlement (representing plaintiffs) of multi-million dollar stockbroker fraud/conspiracy matter in mediation;

(2) as appellate counsel, numerous successful judgments upon motion, both on independent docket and as support counsel for various attorneys, state-wide; appellate representation including oral argument at both state and federal level (Fifth Circuit); 

(3) as attorney co-counsel, representation in multi-million dollar controversies including, within the past two years, an international software design contractual dispute in excess of two million dollars ($2,000,000.00); and

(4) as support counsel in (a) construction litigation involving delay damages and extra work claims on a multi-structured project, claims in excess of eight million dollars ($8,000,000.00), tried to verdict over a six week period (currently responsible for appeal as attorney in charge of this $4,000,000.00 judgment); and (b) three month trial coordination of seven lawyer team for six week trial to verdict of wrongful death claims (in excess of $100,000,000.00) made against major grocery chain based upon respondeat superior.

Additionally, independent experience in probate matters from an ad litem perspective as well as civil contestant, involving will contests and related disputes.

1986-1994

Soules & Wallace in San Antonio, Texas

Trial and appellate work with Luke Soules on complex business litigation matters, will contests, antitrust, construction matters; first-chair trial and appellate work on independent docket (1991-1994), including first-chair insurance defense representation of international fast-food restaurant chain; assisted in firm management of approximately twenty (20) lawyer firm with responsibilities including hiring/terminating, business development, technological upgrade decision-making.

Experience: complex settlement of multi-million dollar federal antitrust matter involving two of the leading exhibitors of motion pictures (both within top five nationally); trial as co-first chair and appeal (as appellee) of multi-million dollar commercial leasehold dispute involving storage of polypropylene; trial to verdict as first chair in successful defense of grievance matter involving the then-first assistant District Attorney; first-chair and appellate work involving the State Bar of Texas in its attempts to discipline several extremely successful Houston/Gulf Coast area personal injury attorneys; numerous motions for judgment, mandamus issues, charge work.
